About

Hi, welcome to my home page. I am a Zorn Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Indiana University. My postdoc mentors are Hari Bercovici and Norm Levenberg.

I completed my PhD at Washington University in St. Louis in 2022 under the direction of Professor John E. McCarthy.

You can find my CV here.

Research Interests

My research interests are in functional analysis. In particular, my focus tends to be in operator theory, complex analysis, and their interaction. My work as a graduate student began with some problems involving optimal polynomial approximants, and has since morphed into a cornucopia of different things. The underlying theme here can be regarded as operators acting on reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. I am currently thinking about semigroups of operators, approximation problems in Banach/Hilbert spaces of analytic functions, and some problems regarding analytic maps of the unit disk into itself.

Publications

Below is a list of my math papers (as compiled by arXiv), followed by some feature stories I've written.
Please check my CV for publication status on papers and find final versions via the journal in which the paper is published.

Teaching

Currently, at Indiana University...

  • Brief Survey of Calculus I (Math-M 119) - Fall 2023

Next up, at Indiana University...

OTTER

Operator Theory Talks for Early Researchers (OTTER) is organized by myself, Meric Augat, Doug Pfeffer, and Meredith Sargent. OTTER aims to form a community for early researchers in operator theory, complex analysis, and related areas. You can find our webpage here .
